In these modern days, building technology is improved very well. For my new building, I wish to use some new technologies to attract others. For that, I choose many items which are something different to compare

than normal usable things. In Plumbing Technology, I really get confused on pipe varieties. In this situation, first I choose normal used PVC Pipes, UPVC Pipes, Steel Pipes etc., because, I cannot know about new piping & plumbing technologies.

But, I heard about PPR Pipes in that same time. When I search about new plumbing pipes in online, I read many details about PPR Pipes. And also I came to know about many PPR Pipes manufactures, those are nearby place. I also came to know some facts about that like, PPR Pipes are rapidly grown in Plumbing Technology; this is known as Polypropylene Random Co-Polymer; this is mainly used for Water supply pipe lines for both Hot and Cold Water; PPR Pipes can have 50 Years Life Span minimum; PPR Pipes are widely used in Residential Buildings, Industrial Buildings, School, Hotels, Hospitals, Ships, Agriculture and so on;

This pipe is available in Different colors like Green, Grey, White, Blue etc., for this pipe, special PPR Fittings also available in Market; PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings provide some special and attractive look for buildings. When I compare to steel pipes, PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings have high life span near 50 Years.

There is no insulation required for this. After that I decide to contact PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings manufactures. I called my nearest PPR Pipes manufactures, which is best in my area. They told many facts about PPR Pipes and shown me some Demo. They said it does not get any blockages; PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings are excellent in Heat and Pressure Resistance; It is very easy to transport and handling; This is an environment friendly Pipes, and so on. After a small meeting with them, I know that it is also able to recycling. They also said it does not produce any pollutions neither producing nor disposing. They showed me some certificate, which is PPR Pipes have food grade.  

After finishing the meeting I decided to buy that. Then I ask them about rates of PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings. The price is slightly high to compare steel pipes, UPVC Pipes and others. And I ask them quotation for PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings. I asked them about chiller pipes. They said PPR Pipes are used for both Hot and Cold. And finally the rate was ok for me. And I put payment and bought them.

Then I need to search experts in PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings Plumbing Works. I searched and finally got best PPR Pipes plumbing specialists. They started work. I got doubt that they didn’t cut more pieces. They didn’t waste them. I asked my doubt to them. They said PPR Pipes are easy to weld; Installation is fast and easy to compare than steel pipes, and it is also have leakage proof. Then they showed me how to weld and install the PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings. I really amazed. Plastic pipes but they are UV Stabilized; when compare them to other natural products like wood, cork, wool it does not produce any gas toxicity; In case of any fire accidents, there is no chance for dioxin emissions. Finally my building was perfect to seem.

I put PPR Pipes for centralized AC pipe lines as well as hot water supply lines. Each and every pipe lines including sanitary lines were PPR Pipes in My Building. Now I felt My Building is more protected. My building seems like something different with its neighbor buildings, with colorful pipe lines and its proper installation.

When I am doing Project for my doctorate, I decide to do something different. For that I select Plumbing Technology, especially, about the Plumbing Pipes. When I decided to do this, I fixed about the following is my major one. That is none other than the Advantages of Plumbing Pipes. I thought it was very easy to do. But when I was in field I realized about that factors. There was lot of products I researched under Plumbing Pipes. Among them I really liked to work with PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings. When I researched about PPR Pipes and Fittings, it was very useful in my personal life also. Because of its advantages I really impressed with them and used in my home. From that research, I came to know the following factors. It is widely used for cold and hot water system in both residential and industrial area. Because it have Minimum 50 Years life span in temperature up to 80°C. It has low thermal penetrability.

It also shows high resistance in chemicals. Also it has good resistance in mechanic strength, with based on its elasticity. It also maintain in very low temperature also. To research about these factors I really amazed, because when I compared to steel and other plastic pipes like PVC , UPVC  and so on, I came to know that it have high life span and good elastic Properties. These pipes have smooth internal surface which provides less friction. So that, it can offers heavy flow. PPR Pipes are rust resistant. It reduces the cost of handling as well as transportation. It is hygiene and it has low bacterial growth. It is also resistant to high temperature. It is widely used in Air Plants, Agriculture, Horticulture, Industries, Liquid Foods, Solar Plants, Swimming Pools, Rain Water utilization systems and residential Houses.

It have food grade. It is highly reliable. This is known as a green building material though it available in Blue, Red, Grey and White. Due to its food grade, many can use for pure water pipe lines. These PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings have smooth inside and outside, this provides beautiful look. Generally it produced in Soft Colors; this also gives some attraction to buildings. PPR Pipes and PPR Fittings have very high impact strength.

This factor can eliminate the possibility of breakage and crack formation. To compare steel or any other plumbing pipes or irrigation pipes or chiller pipes, it is light weight. And the major and the main advantage is it keeps pure water as pure water always. It is also certified by National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), in USA. Also it is certified by International Standards. When we compare to other plumbing pipes, it can take little bit cost in high, but it can avoid insulation and installation cost. Now European industries are widely used PPR Pipes. When I completed my project, I can really proud to work about PPR Pipes. That is the first Plastic Product which I heard is food grade and safe for liquid foods.

PVC stands for Poly Vinyl Chloride. This term is popular in the World Wide. It is widely used for produce Plastic, after the stage of Polyethylene and Polypropylene. This is used in construction works. To compare copper, iron or wood in construction applications, it is most effective one. There PVC Piping is one of the greatest inventions. It is a combination of both Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, so it is also known as piping engineering. For this, our house hold plumbing technology is a famous and common example. This is one of the most common materials those used for construction works. The major advantages are as follows: It is light Weight; for steel or other products, we need two or more persons based on product weight; but for this one there is only one single person can handle easily;so there is no need of more workers to install it; also their labour charges also reduced slightly; they can’t get injuries often; and they took minimum time only to compare others; it is cheap in cost; transport cost also cheap due to is weight; these PVC products use only simple connectors and adhesives; but steel products need welding sometimes, as well as costly connectors; this is easy to handle and install; more flexible than other galvanized products; this is a great one, because it is an inert and stable material; it does not react with chemicals suddenly; this cannot conduct electricity; this is safe to use in sand or other chemical places;

it avoids corrosion; it is basically used for these reasons only in industries; it requires minimal amount of knowledge to install, as well as minimal amount of tools also; this product is very strong and durable; based on this it is used for long term applications; also in deep underground applications; when we compare to steel, it is twice in strong; this product’s wall are smooth; so fluid can flow smoothly; thus PVC plumbing technology have lot of advantages. “No one is fully perfect in the World”. As per this quote, these products also have some disadvantages. They are: sometimes gases are leaked from it; this is reacting as cancer – causing agents; it is not a good choice to flow or move any other thing than water; if pressurized gas moved means, it will blast in sometimes; it is self insulating;

even it can handle hot water, it have only less flame resistant; it is a major disadvantage; also it is produced in more than 2 inches; this makes them inflexible; along with this its joints or connectors also bulky; at last it does not fit well; this also have volatile compounds, which harmful to environment; in many cases people complaints water gets plastic taste slightly;

it is also get cracks easily; when temperature increases its strength will reduce; they are not installed in higher temperature, because it is non decomposing property. Due its disadvantages, people moved to put other advance piping systems like UPVC, PVC, PPR, and PPR-C. This product purchase and production also slightly reduced, because of new inventions. Anyhow, there is no one can replace the PVC Pipes and Fittings usage place still now.
